- Finished The Ministry for the Future (Kim Stanley Robinson)
- Started reading The Colossus of Maroussi by Henry Miller -- an impressionist travelogue about Miller visiting Greece. I was looking for a book to prime my mind and get me excited for my upcoming trip to Greece. But also I am already really enjoying the writing -- it's quite distinct, with sprawling imagery and over the top descriptions of characters, scenery, and events.
- Watched the movie Never On Sunday (1960) -- set in Greece, about an American scholar trying to "save" someone who doesn't need to be saved. Liked it.
- Similarly, watched Boy on a Dolphin (1957) -- also set in Greece.
