Really really love their music! One of my favorite artists. Discovered them in 2024.

June 2026 Concert
They are one of my favorite artists I discovered in the last few years, and I honestly thought I would never see them live because it seemed the band had split up. But they're doing a reunion tour right now, and I caught them on their NYC stop. Great show! The band has great on-stage energy. They played the album "All That We Know" from start to finish (for its 15 year anniversary) and then a handful of other songs. They hit a lot of my favorites -- most importantly: Ebb and Flow, Call it What You Will. Honorable mentions: Pandemonium, Barleywine Bump.
They did a bit/joke about holding up their paper setlist and then asking the crowd which we wanted to hear next, and someone said "Ellipsis", which was not on the list, but they played it anyway. I like the song enough, but I was slightly bummed because I think it replaced "Breaking Even" which was also on the setlist but they didn't play it! They kept doing the "requests" thing, and I shouted out for Breaking Even, and it seemed they were almost going to do it, but then they did a different one (Hobo's Lament, which I don't particularly care much about though it's a pleasant enough song). That being said, I really do like all of their music (with very few exceptions) so I can't really say I'm disappointed. They implied they'll do more shows in the future, so there's that too! This article from an interview this March implies they might also be working on new music... which would be really cool. Their last album came out in 2019.
I also got to high five Ian Cook (the lead singer+songwriter / electric guitar) at the end, once the crowd was thinning out and he was saying hi to some people who remained. This may sound surprising, but it was a pretty small venue+crowd (around 40-50 ppl in the audience at peak) so it was a more intimate vibe.
