Having well-defined goals for skill of dreaming
Feeling inspired by a dreamviews thread https://www.dreamviews.com/intro-class/167037-santatis-workbook.html -- talking about how other real life skills are easier to work on because they have well-defined goals for those.
In my experience, DJing is easy to keep up. It's probably partly because it's easy to stay motivated, especially when recall linearly increases -- it's easy to have an unspoken goal of increasing dream count + quality / word count. Really easy to measure progress.
But then usually when it comes to actually making improvements in LDing skills (inductions too but mainly I mean in-dream content), my efforts fizzle and I don't make much progress. Yes I set myself little dream tasks sometimes but then I end up not making progress and forget about them, and then end up out-of-phase of LDing. (Though, this is usually due to other factors like lack of sleep due to social activities, which knocks dream recall out from under me).
So, maybe having more systematic tracking of dream goals and accomplishments in a more general sense would help keep me progress-oriented and hopefully more motivated+focused.
Should think more about this.
