Foraged Flavors

A couple months ago, I came across a YouTube channel called Justinthetrees. He makes experimental ice cream flavors out of tree bark, flowers, and/or sap. He also creates his own bowl and spoon in each video in his woodshop, out of wood from the same type of tree as the flavor. The videos are entertaining and interesting. My first exposure was during a flight.

Anyway, ever since I've started watching those videos, it's put an idea somewhere in my head to maybe try something like it sometime. Collect a pinecone or something and incorporate it into a recipe. Or collect flowers and try making a syrup.

Will I ever actually? Who knows.
