My Most Amazing, Aspirational, Unrealistic, Impossible Self

Musings

After watching a video [1]of a guy living 21 years off-grid and building a bunch of structures, dance studio, sustaining a life (with outside purchases too. And a weird amount of technology and power tools), I am in a state of wondering what my own life would be like if I was at 100% max following my instinctual pursuits without inhibitions or limitations by things like willpower, money, and energy. No, I'm not saying I want to live off-grid (though, I find it really cool how he built everything/mostly on his own).

What does this most amazing, aspirational, unrealistic, impossible version of myself look like? What does he do with his time? What has he accomplished and what does he hope to accomplish?

If I should accomplish a fraction of this list in my lifetime, I should be satisfied.

This list should grow with time (both as I populate the list with what has already been in my mind, as well as with what will spring up over time).

(In the early stages, this list will look puny... I look to my future self to make it look less puny.)

Taking this prompt in a completely different direction:
What would my most impossible, unrealistic, aspirational, amazing self do?
With the snap of a finger:

  1. "21 Years Living Off-Grid on a Remote Island in a Self-Built Cabin & Homestead" on "Exploring Alternatives" channel) ↩︎

  2. (and I guess do the same for our pets if we want to -- well, first, add to this list: make it so that animals can talk so they can give their consent for stuff like increasing their lifespan, and also so they can give consent for killing+eating them (I have a feeling they might not consent to the killing+eating part, though, so maybe this will make more people want to be vegan. This footnote got a bit vegan-propaganda, oops))) ↩︎

  3. (maybe this is already captured by "eliminate suffering" but I think it's worth calling out) ↩︎
