In the movie A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) [1] - the main character young girl walks into a library and selects a book called "Anatomy of Melancholy". The librarian questions why she would want to read the book, and she replies, "I've read all the authors beginning with 'A', and all the 'B's down to Burton. It's next." "You mean you're trying to read your way straight through the library?" "Please, I want to read clear through the alphabet. I want to know everything in the world."
